Melissa brings over 15 years of extensive expertise across diverse energy sectors, ranging from efficiency to electrification to demand response. Her multifaceted experience encompasses market research, baseline, saturation and code compliance studies - along with portfolio and program evaluations, strategic plan development, program design, and hands-on implementation. She has spearheaded field verification studies, conducted comprehensive assessments of technical and economic potential, and advised on pioneering policies with stakeholders. Melissa has led impact, process and cost-effectiveness evaluations, and has filed testimony for both electric and natural gas portfolios. She holds a B.B.A. in Economics.As an engaged member of the industry, an AESP Chapter Board Member, a recent three-term Chair of the AESP Research and Evaluation Topic Committee, a contributor to the IEPEC planning committee, co-creator of the DOE-sponsored EM&V Certification Course, and invited member of a NREL and DOE WAP SME Committee, Melissa spearheads initiatives to create technical content for educational courses, webinars, sessions, panels, and magazine articles for several industry organizations. Her contributions have extended beyond these efforts, with prestigious awards such as winning a SXSW Eco Hackathon, Verizon’s Pike Powers Award, and the Pecan Street Energy Data Innovation Award.
