I began my career as a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed college senior, running prompter for minimum wage at a local station, interested in television production in terms of "Let's see what this is like!" I had no idea I accidentally gave myself a career and it's going strong 20+ years later.During that time jump, I have had the opportunity to run the gamut; live news, pre-taped shows, segment producing, appearing in segments, live and pre-taped sports broadcasts (local and national), sports and news talk shows, pre and postgame shows (for basketball, hockey, baseball, soccer, and football), in-house production and live events. You name it, I've probably done it!I have performed every job applicable in my field; studio duties, audio, chyron, video, tape, and technical directing. The vast majority of my career has been spent directing. I was made weekend director wayyyy back in my earliest TV incarnation and quickly discovered it fit me like a glove. For whatever reason, my skill set lends itself well to live television and all that comes with it. Whether it is smooth sailing or the waters are rising and I'm plugging holes on the fly, I enjoy what I do every day - even when I'm complaining about it.
