I led The Recording Academy San Francisco Chapter with over 1500 members in Northern California, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. We serve our members and music community through advocacy, networking and professional development events.I have organized over 200 events in a 6 year period to drive membership growth and increase brand awareness for the Recording Academy, the GRAMMY Awards and our affiliates. Highlight events include the San Francisco Chapter's annual GRAMMY Nominee Celebration, several full day creative professional development conferences, in-studio listening events and a weekly music business seminar series. To make it all happen, I have raised over $200,000 in cash and in-kind sponsorships for our local and regional events.Increased Chapter membership to record levels with 10% annual growth rate. Recruited nationally recognized music creators to participate in GRAMMY Awards process, committees and eventsIn 2016 and 2017, I coordinated meetings for the San Francisco Chapter membership with 26 Congressional Districts in California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. I met personally with Congressional Representatives and staff resulting in 6 co-sponsors for artist-friendly legislation. Recruited and trained more than 20 members to act as congressional district meeting leaders in various states.

Along with co-founder Boone Spooner, our live recording company specialized in large scale recoding for radio stations and bands. Recorded live concerts for Feist, Regina Spektor, Mumford & Sons, Tom Petty, Melissa Etheridge, Ben Harper, Emmy Lou Harris, Gillian Welch, The Pretenders, Iron & Wine, David Gray, Beth Orton and more.Corporate and Festival Clients included KFOG, Google, Time-Warner, Atlantic, Interscope, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and others.

I slugged it out for eight years as the lead singer / guitarist and principal songwriter for the indie rock band Dayroom based in Athens GA. I co-founded our Independently managed record label (Global Head Records), merchandise company, financing LLC, and management entities. Dayroom played over 1200 shows in its 8 year lifespan often touring over 200 dates per year, released 3 critically acclaimed and award winning albums while building a grass roots fan base across across 22 states in the US and Europe.
