We designed and built the specialized B2B systems that operate between Edmunds.com and the Dealerships that subscribe to use their services. Started as a bit of an afterthought, the Dealer Tools product became one of the most critical links in enabling dealer's to use the companies listing products. To be successful, we used techniques from many disciplines - the Lean Start Up to define what the products would be, Design Thinking to figure out what the critical features were and ensure our usability goals were met, and Agile / Scrum / Kanban to execute the development. We went from raw concept to production product in just 6-weeks. Over the year, we grew from nothing to thousands of users of the system --- with an adoption rate of over 70% by dealerships.Director of Product in charge of the company's Mobile Website. As a product manager, I defined a strategic plan for the mobile website, then executed tactical projects to improve the user experience. We transformed the site and delivered an app-like experience within the mobile browser. We improved automated-account activation from 45% to over 90% saving the company millions of dollars in call center and on-site tech costs. We used the Agile/Scrum methodology and executed the full product management lifecycle - from conceptualization to prototyping, usability testing with focus groups, and development. We accomplished a full redesign of site and worked through all major functionality - sales, service, TV program guide, pay per view to improve usability, simplify sales process flows, and improve the underlying code stability. The results were that we increased new customer sales, increased customer purchases of pay-per-view events and movies, improved customer satisfaction, and improved customer retention. -
