Spearheading the overall management of a CHF 7.8 million project focused on the prevention and protection of migrants, with the goal of reducing the risk of migrant smuggling. Responsible for devising and executing strategies to navigate the complex socio-political and economic landscape of the country. Providing capacity building and policy review support to government authorities and justice sector actors, enhancing their ability to govern labor migration effectively. Establishing and facilitating collective actions among civil society, parliamentarians, and the private sector to promote good governance in the labor migration system.

Provided strategic direction and oversight for two key portfolios—Climate Governance and Climate-Induced Internal Migration. This involved coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including ministries, think tanks, private sector entities, and NGOs, to drive impactful results. Successfully facilitated the development of coalitions that led to significant outcomes, such as the creation of the National Strategy on Internal Migration Management, which was adopted by the Government in 2021. Additionally, spearheaded the adoption of the first-ever Local Adaptation Plan by the Local Government Institute. Led the development of climate indicators and monitoring guidelines for the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust. Conducted Political Economy Analysis (PEA) to understand the interests and incentives of key actors, informing the development of effective advocacy strategies.

Managed technical direction and led program division that includes national and regional advocacy, project design, partnership building, capacity development of concerned actors, liaison with government actors and private sectors. Worked with the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment and maintained liaison with Ministry of Foreign Affairs to seek support for organising Peoples’ Global Action at GFMD-2016.

Built capacity of the project staffs and partner organization (PNGOs) in advocacy and campaign. Maintained liaison and communication with concerned stakeholders including Ministry of Social Welfare, National Disabled Development Foundation, Department of Social Welfare, National Human Right Commission and Law Commission.

Managed overall activities of Joint Action Program, implemented in Bangladesh Nepal and India, that includes development of strategic plan, staff’s supervision and liaison with relevant stakeholders at home and abroad. Led joint advocacy at United Nations through special procedure and UPR process.

Led capacity building initiatives for local NGOs and maintained regular communication with local government institutions to engage them towards upholding social justice.
