Md. Abul Kalam Siddik is currently doing Master in Library and Information Science in the Department of Library and Information Science under the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology in the University of Malaya. He was an Information Officer in Publication Unit, ICDDR, B, Dhaka-1000, Bangladesh, and an adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Library and Information Science in Darul Ihsan University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He secured Master of Arts (M. A.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in the Department of Information Science and Library Management, in 2007 and 2008 respectively from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained first class first position in both of the examinations with distinction marks. He is also an Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Association of Young Researchers (BAYR) and a Trustee Member of Information Society Today. His areas of research interest include digital literacy, knowledge management, knowledge and resources sharing; web 2.0 technologies/tools etc.
