Construction Engineering Associate

1. Field assessment, site planning, supervision and management of construction works2. Provide guidance to the Line Manager regarding the scope and technical detail of the various project elements, taking into account ease of implementation, cost, time, and impact on other elements of the project BR3. Completion of all necessary measurements and control of quality on the project. Perform regular quality assurance / quality control checks 4. Ensure that the construction project abide by relevant national/international standards of health and safety for the works, adjacent properties, all site personnel and the general public 5. Reporting of all health & safety incidents and accidents in weekly progress reports 6. Conduct field assessments of sites and structures, produce design solutions and suggestions 7. Prepare and/or review designs, drawings and construction contract documentation and reports 8. Measure amounts and produce Bill of Quantities 9. Supervise and manage Contractor / Partner - attend meetings necessary to track the progress of the project 10. Review reports and drawings received from Partner / Contractor and provide timely and strongly worded feedback 11. Lead and manage daily labourers, supervisors, etc 12. Schedule and plan activities and works 13. Liaison with project stakeholders 14. Operating out of Cox`s Bazar, the Engineer will be involved in a variety of construction, planning and design works related to assistance projects for the Rohingya 15. Ensure that all contractual controls (bonds, guarantees, securities, insurances) are implemented on Contracts / Agreements, using standard forms and from financial institutions approved 16. Aid in the preparation of financial reporting, as required 17. Approval of handover documentation including as-built drawings, material reports and manuals and ensure proper project close out.
