Mahbubul Hasan was born in 1980 in Bangladesh. In 2017 he and his wife moved to Adelaide in Australia. Became Australian citizen in 2022.He received his MA in Folklore from Rajshahi University in Bangladesh. During his study he gained enormous knowledge on cultural diversity, anthropology, heritage, folklore and much more. Currently he is conducting an IT support course, Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (ICT30118) at TAFESA Throughout his 12 year administrative and media professional career, he worked as a researcher, event coordinator and trainer. At the very beginning, he was a research associate and later he joined an organization as a researcher and event coordinator, where he did research on folk art, handloom, cultural diversity and much more. Simultaneously he organized several international art camps, events, publication and filming work.From 2011, he worked for a national TV station in Bangladesh for two years. There, he provided research and scripts for a daily live show along with other programs. In 2013, he joined BBC Media Action in Bangladesh as a Content Researcher. This time, he had to research the content of the factual television show AMRAI PARI (Together We Can Do It).In 2016 he was promoted to Outreach Officer. In this role he had to act as a hub for operational relationships with other outreach partners. He coordinated and conducted 10 training workshops about CwC (Communication with Communities) for the community workers and youth volunteers of BDRCS around the country in Bangladesh.He has a clear concept of using media and communication as a tool to promote human rights. He knows a lot about the cross-media approach. In his latest work in BBC Media Action he transformed the key lessons from the factual TV show to interactive printed communication tools along with produced illustration and design ideas.Along with his professional career, he is devoted to filmmaking. He has directed 3 documentary videos. Using media as a tool he wants to bring changes to peoples’ lives.
