1. Key Competencies and ExperiencesMy highest obtained degree is a PhD ( Doctor of Philosophy) in Aquaculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Mymensingh, Bangladesh. This is an advanced degree with a unique combination of aquaculture, natural resources, fisheries, aquatic biodiversity, and environmental science. I have a total of more than 32 years of relevant professional experience that focuses on fisheries education, freshwater and coastal fisheries aiming to reduce poverty by leading projects in Bangladesh. I was involved in implementing 16 diversified projects (International Project 10 and National Project 6) aiming to maintain multicultural good team spirit and people management skills through leading the respective project team efficiently. This includes proven experience in implementing small & medium scale culture and capture fisheries integrating climate change adaptive measures with small-scale fish farmers. This also includes proven experience with conducting training programs for fishers' community and small-scale farmers in the fish farming sector, especially with women fish farmers to boost up their livelihood status. I have hands-on experience with aquaculture production in Bangladesh, India, and Thailand with the growing aquaculture sector. I possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English and can communicate in the relevant local context.2.
