Splunk Engineer | Automation Developer using python at Solugenix1. Splunk Engineering and Administration:- Manage and administer Splunk infrastructure, including installation,configuration, and maintenance of Splunk servers and components.- Configure Splunk indexes, inputs, outputs, and other settings toensure optimal performance and data integrity.- Monitor Splunk deployment health, troubleshoot issues, and performcapacity planning to meet business requirements.- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance withregulatory standards in Splunk environment.2. Automation Development:- Develop automation solutions using Python scripting to streamlinevarious Splunk and Dynatrace processes.- Design and implement Python scripts to automate tasks such asapplication onboarding, log ingestion, index creation, and passwordmanagement.- Utilize APIs and SDKs provided by Splunk and Dynatrace tointegrate automation scripts with existing systems and workflows.- Continuously improve automation scripts to enhance efficiency,reliability, and maintainability.3. Application Onboarding and Log Management:- Onboard new applications into Splunk by configuring data inputs,sourcetypes, and index configurations.Ingest logs from various sources, including system logs, applicationlogs, databases, AWS, and web servers, into Splunk for analysis andmonitoring.- Develop strategies for log data normalization, enrichment, andretention to facilitate effective searching, reporting, and alerting inSplunk.4. Data Analysis and Reporting:- Analyze log data in Splunk to identify trends, anomalies, andperformance issues across applications and infrastructure.- Create dashboards, alerts, and reports in Splunk to provideactionable insights and facilitate proactive monitoring andtroubleshooting.- Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators(KPIs) and develop custom searches and visualizations to meet specificbusiness requirements.5. Dynatrace Configuration and Integration:- Configure and manage Dynatrace monitoring solutions to monitorthe performance and availability of applications and infrastructure.- Develop automation scripts to automate Dynatrace configurationtasks, such as adding servers and IPs to monitoring profiles.- Integrate Splunk and Dynatrace to leverage combined insights forcomprehensive application and infrastructure monitoring andtroubleshooting.
