Project : Design and Construction of Orbital Highway and Truck route Contract-2 Project Client : ASHGHALLocation : "Salwa Road to North Relief Road”The New Orbital Highway Project 2 [P023] contract 2 – Salwa Road to North Relief Road includes design and construction of 47 km of motorway network and eight different grade separate interchanges with cross roads, collectors-distributors, truck lanes, overpass and underpass structures, retaining walls, pedestrian and bicycle paths, traffic signs, ITS, landscape, hardscape and artscape, street lighting and Green Line tunnel a part of Qatar Rail network, is crossing the New Orbital highway at junction. All related infrastructures etc. The project further consists of 10-lane section (5 in each direction) with additional Collectors/Distributor roads, frontage roads, braiding and ramps. Four separated truck lanes are provided at the limit of contract between Junctions to the intersection between Orbital Highway and Truck Road (15km approximately).

Inspired the city’s theme, Water is Life, the design of these twin pedestrian bridges is that of a delicate “necklace,” draped along the ring of the Qetaifan Island Marina. The bridge’s curves trace the radius of the island’s waterfront, while separate walkways weave across the channel creating a chain, its links supported by stainless steel cables affixed to two concrete pylons. The cables are connected to the deck in alignment with the two paths, intertwining the pedestrian experience of each bridge with the structural system that supports it. The experience of the bridges continues beyond the boundaries of their sites; through the use of pattern and repetition in on-grade pathways, the necklace motif links both bridges and extends their character along the entire promenade.

Installation of 66/33/11 KV and 33/11 KV / 415V Sub-station for distribution system and overhead transmission lines upto 66 KV.
