I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In addition, I am an Honorary Research Fellow at Institute for Security Science and Technology of Imperial College London. I am also an affiliated Research Associate at the Imperial College Business School, working in a project involving identity and blockchain technology. Previously, I was a former ERCIM Alain Bensoussan Research Fellow at Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT), Germany and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shahajalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. Previously, I worked in a Horizon 2020 project called SUNFISH (SECURE INFORMATION SHARING IN FEDERATED HETEROGENEOUS PRIVATE CLOUDS) at the University of Southampton. Before that I worked as a Post-doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow. I completed my PhD from the School of Computing Science of the University of Glasgow. My thesis title is "User-controlled Identity Management Systems using Mobile Devices" in which I investigated how mobile devices can be used for managing different online identities. I am very research oriented and love to face new challenges and develop novel mechanisms based on my research. My current research interests are Blockchain, Self-sovereign Identity, Identity Management, Security Usability, Trust Management, Petname Systems, Trusted Computing and Privacy Enhancement Technologies.
