I believe in the transformative power of human connection and building resilience in people and organizations to achieve positive change. I consulted with leaders in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors for 20 years before moving into a unique family business leadership role in 2021. I am a passionate connector of people, and believe that our best ideas rise from the energy created by working and playing together.I began my career as an advocate in a domestic violence shelter. After two years of serving women and children in crisis, I realized my purpose was not direct service, but working on the organizational and policy levels. I moved across the country and enrolled in the Master's program at the LBJ School of Public Affairs while parenting two young children. The most valuable skill I learned in graduate school was how to balance parenting and work. (Spoiler alert: it's something you never get quite right, it's the trying that matters.) After graduating from the LBJ School I launched a successful consulting career. After two decades of working behind the scenes helping other leaders shine, I have recently stepped into a CEO role where I must "walk my talk" and practice my own leadership advice.I am an optimist, a problem solver, an adventurer, an empath, a storyteller, a mother, and a friend. I love good coffee, rainy mornings, hosting family dinner, and almost everything about the pacific northwest. I am most interested in conversations about how we live and lead. The honeybee is my muse for its ability to create, connect, and lead through influence.
