Comparative studies analyzing the mechanical and structural properties were carried out. Mechanical testing was done by calculating tensile and compression modulus. Structural characteristics compared using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM).1. Successfully synthesized mechanically stronger bacterial cellulose.2. Enhanced compressive modulus by a factor of ~20.3. Imaging data demonstrated increased water holding capacity.
