• Developed embedded software for the company's Bank Note validator range• Successfully completed feature enhancements and lifecycle tasks for the existing Bank note validator product lines. This work was embedded C on ARM7 based micro-controllers (Atmel and Freescale). • Designed and wrote the firmware for a coin dispensing hopper using a Freescale 8 bit micro-controller. This was written in C with some Assembler. • Managed the in house development testing• Due to the small size of the software development team Mark was involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle as well as helping to specify a new development and test process for all products.

• Worked as a consultant liaising between businesses in the North West and the Computing and Communication departments of the University.• This position helped Mark gain further experience of gathering requirements for technical projects and of project management.
