As a Logistics, Security and Hospitality Manager for Discovery Land Co., my ultimate goal is to monitor the logistics operations, implement security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and make sure that the resort is safe for both employers and visitors. Throughout my 15+ years in this field, I have had the pleasure of managing multiple teams, and successfully led the efforts in identifying and correcting efficiency bottlenecks, which has saved tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars and resulted in faster, more accurate shipments.Additionally, I have 20+ years’ experience in the military within security, administrative and logistical environments for the United States Army and Airforce. One of the most life impacting times in my professional career was during the September terror attack. During this tragedy, I was assigned as a Logistics Management Specialist, the special task to cover operations during a recovery operation. This mission was a confirmation to me that we all have the opportunity to help our neighbor even in our everyday jobs.A few of my career highlights include: * Managed up to 175 staff members.* Experience in logistics management with 20+ experience for both corporate and military environments. * Managed logistics and security budgets up to $350K. * Achieved 97% average delivery rate on all assignments with no loss of materials or assets.In addition to my passion for safety and creating logistical solutions that make companies more profitable, I also enjoy managing and motivating teams. I believe in creating a culture where success is an entire team effort, so that performance increases department wide. I believe this approach to management encourages an environment where the “team” identifies the rising stars and promotes growth from within.Outside of work, I lead a busy life as a licensed Minister giving counsel and encouragement to people in my church and community. Also, I have been on the radio throughout the years doing Emcee and voice-over work. Currently, I am a content creator for a Podcast titled “The Sweet Spot” that features Old-School R&B slow jams on multiple platforms such as Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, PodChaser, and iHeart.
