Planned, directed, coordinated, and oversaw activities in the Engineering department, which comprised of twelve engineering teams with over 60 engineers in total. The teams built an in-house insurance policy administration system with all the necessary services for an insurance company, abstracting all of the product-specific logic away and making sure engineering time was spent on building services and improving the system rather than configuring individual insurance products.

Managed three engineering teams in charge of developing several new bespoke digital insurance products, maintaining existing ones working horizontally across a broad spectrum of platform domains and services. Standardizing processes and procedures in the Engineering department. Working with new managers and helping them grow. Being a first responder for any production issues on the platform in close collaboration with the Product and Service teams.

Responsible for hiring, leading, developing, and growing several cross-functional development teams. Supervising the development of several new digital insurance products. Involved in planning and executing the product and technical roadmaps in close collaboration with the Product and Architecture teams. Coordinating team workflows to consistently produce business value without compromising the engineering quality.

Managing a cross-functional software development team working on a domain-specific language built in-house for creating smart forms for collecting applications for insurance coverage.

Setting up and improving the testing framework and processes. Planning, creating, and maintaining automated end-to-end and API tests written in JavaScript. Integrating the automated tests into the continuous integration infrastructure.

Testing a massive sports betting system for the world’s largest provider of Sports Betting services. Locating and isolating potential issues and recommending software corrections and improvements. Developing and maintaining automated tests for desktop applications and back-end services. Providing on-site client support during major product releases and being the first responder to any immediate escalations.

Was involved in over 200 functional testing projects testing Web and Mobile apps for uTest’s customers, ranging from seed-stage startups to companies on the Fortune 100 list. Heavily focused on unscripted exploratory testing aiming to quickly understand the business model and the domain and drive the depth of the testing efforts in crowd-sourced testing cycles. Also involved in uTest’s community management as a part of a team of 20 community moderators in a community of over 250000 software testers.
