BP GoM GPO - Mad Dog Rig Replacement. Chevron Brazil, Frade FPSO, Walk to Work landing platform in-place design and lift. Brownfield structural design of BP GoM P&M marine platforms situated in the Gulf of Mexico. Worked on the following platforms: Marlin, Horn Mountain, Nakika, Holstein, Thunderhorse, and Atlantis. Design of pipe racks, pipe supports, decks assessment and retrofitting, assessment of skid foundations, weight control report, among others.

Testing of different concrete pavement mixes skid and wear resistance. Calculated and assisted in assembling steel pressure vessel for impregnation of rail road tie with polymer to increase its useful life.

Consultant structural designer of a four story commercial building in a high seismic zone with soft soil conditions, in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Optimized concrete section sizes to minimize construction cost. Created layout for estimation of insulated concrete forms (ICF) needed for interior partitions of Torre Mar Azul.

Created a system for estimating and ordering materials and work crews to maximize efficiency on the job site. Planned and executed the construction schedule. Supervised engineers and ensured quality and integrity of structural elements for the 32 story residential building of Torre Mar Azul. Reduced completion time per floor by 35% (from 25 days to 16 days).

Created a research foundation with two objectives: to research renewable energy options (biodiesel and biogas) for use in the Dominican Republic and to prevent damages due to natural disasters (hurricanes, tropical storms and earthquakes). Recruited Dominican Republic Government Officials and professors from Rice University, University of Texas at Brownsville, Texas A&M University, Center for Space Research (University of Texas at Austin).

Conducted research on the optimization of aggregate/reduction of cement in concrete mixtures with the goal of reducing the cost of concrete. Concluded that it is possible to reduce the cost of concrete through the substitution of microfines for cement.

Supervised underground tunnel construction for the Santo Domingo Metro Subway. Organized and managed workers to ensure work was completed on schedule and checked work for quality and safety.

Performed quality checks for terrain grading. Calculated impervious area and planned construction access for hazardous waste site. Conducted intersection traffic studies. Developed proposed utility profiles. Created and documented an efficient archiving system for closing out projects.

Reduced construction schedule of small residential houses from 2 months to 2 weeks by producing blueprints and optimizing the construction process using in-situ technology (aluminum wall-forms). Supervised a construction crew of 10 workers.
