Director of Core Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for research core facilities in the School of Medicine and across the university. I oversee and direct the financial, operational, and administrative support for School of Medicine Institutional Cores as well as University-Wide shared-management cores. I monitor the operation of core facilities and all related functions in the school of medicine. I administer the school of medicine Core Steering Committee and convene Core Directors across the campus. I serve as a subject matter expert for more than 30 cores in the school of medicine and across the university. I develop, implement, and maintain appropriate operational systems for core operations to ensure they comply with federal regulations and university policies. I serve as a resource for principal investigators, staff, and students wishing to utilize core facilities. I also work strategically to develop and implement marketing strategies for cores across the university.
