After the successful acquisition and integration of ILFC , I have been promoted to Vice President accounting. The company became the world largest aircraft Lessor , owning and managing over 1.300 aircraft and managing a balance total over $ 41 blnAfter this acquisition and in my new role I became more responsible in a functional area rather than my previous responsibility of being a general accountant. My speciality became purchase accounting, maintenance accounting, consolidation, Inventory (consignment) and monitoring of Leasing expenses.Managing a small department and working closely together with the Technical Finance department, with locations in Shannon, Dublin , Miami and Los Angeles.AerCap is the global leader in aircraft leasing and aviation finance. As the company was rapidly expanding the finance team was also growing. My role became more senior and I had to manage a small department. Key Responsibilities• Due to the enormous growth of the company became more specialized in purchase accounting, maintenance accountant, aircraft acquisitions and disposals, depreciation and aircraft impairment analysis. Also supported the reporting team in providing data for the cash flow of fore mentioned responsibilities. Responsible for group consolidation, , transfer pricing and corporate income taxes. The Accountant role was responsible for ensuring that the monthly management accounts were delivered to the management on a timely and accurate in line with US GAAP. It is the responsibility of the accountant to provide analysis on monthly revenue movements and deal with internal and external users of the Financial Statements. Due to the complexity of aircraft which for Tax and Treasury reasons were recorded in special purpose companies (SPC), responsible for transfer pricing,, Intercompany reconciliations, budgeting and preparation Dutch corporate Income tax returns.

I started as assistant –accountant and in this period I’ve obtained a lot of experience with auditing and independent preparation of financial statements for several kind of companies in the profit and non-profit sector ( both domestic as international). During the last two years I operated as “in charge” at the audit. In this capacity I used to educate, guide, supervise and motivate new assistant-accountants, I frequently attended internal courses on auditing approach and client related services.
