Worked with the Regional Offices of the Department of Health (DOH) in Luzon, in particular, with the Regional HIV Coordinators. Assessed the implementation of the HIV Testing and Treatment Cascade and came up with solutions and recommendations to unclog bottlenecks, fill gaps, and address problems. Advocated for the engagement of other stakeholders in the local/ regional HIV response. Provided technical support and mentoring in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the multiple interventions within the HIV Testing and Treatment Cascade.

I monitored the progress of related HIV/AIDS activities in accordance with the work plans. I also supported programme linkages on HIV and AIDS Programme of ILO Country Office-Manila with the ILO’s Decent Work Country Programme, UN JTA, UNDAF, and the joint UN annual work plan. I represented the office in various HIV and TB-related forums and other national planning activities and prepared briefs, periodic reports and statistics on the programme. In addition, I identified funding opportunities, liaised with relevant national and international counterparts and donor representatives, and supported proposal development for the CO-Manila’s HIV/AIDS Programme.

Wrote scripts for one of ABS-CBN's entertainment talk shows.Regularly participated and contributed to program development and conceptualization of content.

Developed, implemented, and monitored the programme’s Behaviour Change Communication and Advocacy plans. Carried out technical support visits to PHANSuP's NGO partners and provided technical assistance in the areas of BCC, IEC materials development, advocacy, Family Planning, HIV/AIDS, Sex, Gender & Sexuality, Adolescent Sexual & Reproductive Health, Children's Rights, and Men’s RH to the programme’s NGO partners. Focal person for MSM-related technical assistance to the partner NGOs. Assisted the Programme Manager in developing the program’s operational guidelines, in managing the grants, in the review of concept papers/project proposals and project reports, in Monitoring and Evaluation of projects of sub-grantees, in conducting and facilitating workshops and seminars, in the preparation of programme reports, and in the development of new project proposals.

Managed the prevention education component of TLF’s programmes by developing its operational guidelines, and managing the Healthy Interaction & Values (HIV) Workshops for young, school and community-based MSM, which included the design of the training curriculum, the selection and training of facilitators, identification and recruitment of participants, managing the workshops, and the analysis of data generated by these workshops. Provided technical assistance to gay student groups in selected universities around Metro Manila on HIV/AIDS/STI, sexuality education, counselling & peer education, and advocacy. Wrote and edited press releases, project reports and project proposals.

Managed the daily operations of ReachOut’s telephone counselling service that provided information on Reproductive Health. Identified, recruited, trained, and monitored the volunteer telephone counsellors; liaised with allied NGO and media partners of the HelpLine. Wrote and edited the training module and operations manual, as well as press releases, project reports and project proposals.

Assisted the editor-in-chief in the editing, layout, and production of books. Transcribed and edited manuscripts and recordings of lectures and workshops. Coordinated with printers and other suppliers.

Coordinated the proofreading and editing of the articles of contributors and columnists of the section. Supervised and monitored the graphic design and layout of the section’s daily edition. Wrote feature stories for the Sunday edition of the section.

Participated in the weekly story planning of the daily show. Researched the assigned stories, usually stories that focus on health and sexuality issues. Conducted on-site, on-cam interviews. Wrote the script for each story. Supervised the editing and post-production of the segment.

Conducted lectures and group discussions on HIV/AIDS/STD with overseas work applicants. Provided pre and post HIV Antibody Test Counselling among them at agency-accredited clinics. Assisted in the development and distribution of IEC materials. Assisted in the preparation of project reports and project proposals.
