Plant was constructed to the design and is still operational.Developed compliance requirements between European standards (photovoltaic inverters) and local wiring code (grid).Developed sales forecasting system using advanced statistical methods.Lectured to Wits University in honorary capacity, and obtained my PhD.

Design EngineerCbi-Electric: Low Voltage Jul 2008 - Oct 2009Elandsfontein, Gauteng, ZaResearch into the magnetodynamic operation of low voltage circuit breakers, including leakage flux coupling.Derived novel method for direct measurement of short-circuit power factor, a quantity that was previously only estimated.Alternate to the standards manager to several IEC mirror and technical committees and member of the wiring code working group.Developed comprehensive test to evaluate circuit breaker in a single test (previously requiring more than 10 separate tests).Built and tested prototype machine to exploit the new test, and then developed a production machine.Devised novel heuristic method to identify failure modes at the component level.Managed engineers in training in addition to technicians.
