Instrument Scientist at McMaster University at the forefront of commissioning Canada's only small angle neutron scattering instrument. I am a strong advocate for studying materials using neutron beams, and strive to harmonize the Canadian user community as a member of the Canadian Institute for Neutron Scattering. My doctoral studies at the University of Windsor were supported by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research to bring molecular-scale clarity to the interaction between vitamin E and cell membranes, and expanded to elucidate the significance of toxicants found in vaping products with pulmonary surfactant in the lung. I am equally comfortable at the bench or at the desk, but thrive in roles centred on communication, team coordination, and timeline organization.Through my journey, I am fortunate to have led research and collaborations at some of the most significant research facilities across the globe, including: NIST Center for Neutron Research, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Argonne National Laboratory, Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization, and the former Canadian Neutron Beam Laboratory.
