He earned a Master's degree in Disaster Management from the University of Dhaka, a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Rural Planning from Khulna University, Khulna, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Planning from the National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD) of Bangladesh Ministry of Planning. He is also a certified Environmental Management System Internal Auditor (ISO 14001:2015) and has received certifications on climate change and cities from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.As a member of the Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP), Jubaer has a vast professional track record in the areas of urban planning, climate change, and development research. With over 15 years of experience, he has undertaken several development projects on climate change adaptation, renewable energy, and municipal master plan development, among others.Currently, Jubaer manages the Bangladesh country office and coordinates projects based in various cities of Bangladesh at ICLEI South Asia.
