• Provide controller services to non-public businesses, colleges, and public foundations• Manage monthly accounting procedures and month end close• Supervision of internal and external accounting staff including staff training• Analyze and review of accruals• Preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP• Annual/quarterly budgeting and forecasting• Prepare management reports and cash flow analysis• Manage payroll, review quarterly and annual payroll tax returns• Attend board meetings and present financial reports• Coordinate annual financial audits, liaison with third party auditors, and prepare audit schedules• Design and implement system and procedural control enhancements including setup of automated processing to increase productivity• Develop and maintain Accounting Policy & Procedure manuals and oversee accounting team to ensure adherence to policies & procedures• Analyze capital assets, calculate amortization and depreciation, post appropriate journal entries to book them in the accounting system • Provide hardware, software and network support to office staff in the absence of designated IT personnel

• Review monthly closing• Handle vendor and client relations• Review reconciliation of bank accounts & high volume credit card merchant accounts• Analyze and reconcile financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital accounts• Prepare reports/schedules and analysis for Controller and CFO• Analyze investment brokerage account statements, prepare monthly AJEs to properly reflect investment activities on the financial statements

• Process accounts payable and receivables; vendor account reconciliation • Prepare and generate invoices • Post transactions to subsidiary ledgers & general ledger• Process payroll through ADP, Paychex and QuickBooks systems • Generate payroll reports, prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns • Publish financial reports for senior accountants/managers• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
