I was responsible and accountable for developing and implementing the project’s MEL system, providing capacity development in M&E to local partner organizations, and developing and implementing the project’s knowledge management system to improve project effectiveness. I was also responsible for coordinating M&E activities of three (3) local Non-governmental Organization in 3 regional capitals of Ghana (Accra, Kumasi and Tamale).

I was responsible for all M&E related functions of the organization. I ensured Aurum is well represented at M&E related working groups and forums both at local and national level. I also made inputs in the development of project work plans and M&E tools. I was also responsible for building the capacity of partners to comply with M&E requirements. My role also included developing and/or managing M&E systems to support reporting for Aurum Ghana projects. I also conducted routine monitoring of Aurum Ghana activities. I collated, analyzed and reported data regularly based on project requirements. I contributed to the writing of project reports and other related documents.

I was responsible for all M & E related activities of the USDA funded AMPLIFIES Ghana Program. I supervise M&E Field Monitors to collect data, assess and analyze data/information, monitor project activities, and report on the achievement of project targets, goals and objectives;I lead the process for identifying and designing key indicators for each component of the program; record and report progress against each indicator, and contribute to the design of the format for these reports; I contributed to the development of the framework for the project’s M&E system, including, but not limited to annual project reviews, participatory evaluations, specific assessments, case study development and lessons learned workshops; In coordination with the CoP/DCoP and Project Director, I identify key performance questions and parameters for monitoring project performance against targets (as per the Performance Monitoring Plan);With stakeholders, set out the framework and procedures for the evaluation of ALL project activities. I review the quality of data in the project areas, the methods of collecting the data and the degree to which it will provide robust baseline statistics for impact evaluation;I l also contribute to internal and external communication materials in efforts to publicize WISHH actions and accomplishments to stakeholders including, but not limited to, Leader Letter, Success Stories, Donor Reports, QSSB Reports, Annual Reports, etc. I participate in joint work planning and sharing/dissemination of results and experiences with relevant partners, USDA/USAID, ACDI/VOCA, sub-recipients and other government departments;I prepare and maintain a database in conjunction with the Project Director and CoP/DCoP; Develop and maintain a tracking system for contract deliverables. In collaboration with the Project Director and CoP, oversee work of partners to ensure deliverables and timelines are being met and are within compliance.

I had oversight responsibility of all M & E related activities at the district level. My specific responsibilities included but was not limited to the following:Training of all district level staff including spray operators and mobilizers on all M & E data collection tools. Supervising field data collection by spray operators and mobilizers and performing data collection spot checks during all data collection exercises as well as addressing of data collection errors. I ensured timely arrival of all Spray Operator data collection forms from all sites to the data entry center and also supervised Data Entry Assistants to ensure that all data entry, cleaning and syncing protocols are well followed. I assisted in the drawing of a district spray operations and supervision plan and analyzed district level spray data to inform decision making for ongoing spray operations. I submitted district weekly spray progress reports and performed any other duties that may be assigned me.

I assisted the consultant in the planning and implementation of the survey. I helped in the design and pretesting of survey tools; recruitment and training of enumerators. I also supervised and coordinated data collection by providing logistics and preparing payroll, conducting spot checks and other data quality assurance (DQA) activities. I analyzed data and contributed to the preparation of the survey report especially by searching and accumulating relevant secondary data.
