Mizanur has expertise in sustainable energy, renewable energy, energy efficiency, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, energy management, sustainable power generation, energy and environment and energy storage. He has implemented research projects on several contemporary issues namely Net Zero Energy Building, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Policy, Life Cycle Analysis, Energy in Building, Solar Assisted HVAC, Long Range Energy Analysis and Planning, Flameless Combustion, and Distribution Generation. Mizanur has also actively participated in research and organized several international conferences as a Co-chair and delivered speeches in international conferences, seminars and meetings. He published 38 research articles published in international peer reviewed journals and conferences. Dr Rahman has been serving at Western Sydney University (WSU) and Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society (IEOM) Australia- https://ieomsociety.org/ieom/.Earlier Mizanur had served as a Senior Project Engineer for 8 years and as a Assistant Project Engineer for 4 years with the ability to lead full lifecycle installation of electrification distribution lines and sub-stations. I have gathered technical proficiency in testing, calibration and maintenance of transformers, energy meters, protective devices, and photovoltaics. Dr Rahman has obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Aalto University, Finland and an MSc Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Royal Institute of Technology KTH, Sweden. He is a Chartered Energy Engineer with Energy Institute (EI) UK and Professional Member (MIEAust) with Engineers Australia. Mizanur has interest to join an industry to apply his knowledge and skills in the broader mechanical engineering area with focus on sustainable and renewable energy, energy policy, zero emissions, climate change, energy efficiency, energy management, energy and environment, and energy storage.
