This project substantially improved voice/video quality, and provided resiliency for business critical voice services.- Gathered project requirements, designed, and acted as technical lead on a project to hybridize a multiple server on-premises Exchange 2013 DAG with Exchange Online. Acted as point of escalation for migration related activities by other teammates. This project resulted in an immediate OpEx reduction of approximately $80,000 per year by eliminating redundant infrastructure and services.- Envisioned and secured approval from internal risk management teams to fundamentally redefine security policies and postures as it pertains to corporate IT tooling. The implementation of this initiative enabled support for a modern, mobile workforce while still ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and the satisfaction of internal security teams and auditors.- Advised teams throughout the organization, and worked with business partners outside of the organization on email deliverability best practices.- Automated a number of key business processes in PowerShell, reducing the margin of human error and ensuring consistent results. In addition to ad hoc scripting, began process of shifting deployment mindset to one of Infrastructure as Code for Windows Server through use of PowerShell DSC.- Mentored several teammates from the Desktop Engineering team who had interest in the Systems Engineering team, encouraging and coaching them in their career journey and technical growth. -

This included leading technical efforts to consolidate Active Directory, Exchange, Skype for Business, and other business applications for the larger combined company. This process included technical discovery and security assessment, assuming responsibility for previously outsourced IT functions from the acquired company, enabling tooling that enabled rich sharing and collaboration during the integration process, and consolidation to a single set of corporate IT services.- Triaged and stabilized the Lync 2013 environment of an acquired company, which had previously been crashing on a daily basis. After my assessment and remediation of the environment, the environment stabilized for the duration of the discovery and initial integration phase of corporate IT services, until ultimately being replaced by the existing centralized Skype for Business deployment of Financial Engines.- Assisted IT Architect in process of design and deployment for Skype for Business, replacing existing Lync 2010 deployment.- Maintained a Polycom conferencing infrastructure, including CMA, DMA, RMX, and HDX 7000/8000 endpoints. This Polycom infrastructure was integrated into a Lync 2010 deployment to provide voice and video conferencing at corporate office locations.- Assisted the Desktop Engineering team by designing and deploying a WDS/MDT environment with replicated deployment shares to enable consistent imaging across all corporate locations. This project ensured standardization in the deployment process across four corporate office locations and about 140 distributed retail locations, leading to a better user experience.- Investigated solutions to effectively manage a growing number of macOS devices in the organization, and ultimately deployed Jamf Pro (CasperSuite at the time) for management of these devices. -
