• Worked with Europe’s largest retailer to identify gaps in its current operations and build a Data engineering/sciences engagement pipeline worth $6 M/year with detailed solutions including implementation plans• The Pipeline resonated with the client’s mandate of saving £1.5 B/year in operations and hence designed solutions to digitally transform the finance, supply chain, and commercial processes across the org.• Also, currently leading 6-member team to enhance the backend (data layer) of a 3-tier web app (enabling insights for supplier negotiation) to digitize support operations leading to a savings of £~800K annually

• Designed backend of an automated forecasting framework (UI) by creating data models that consume data from Hadoop, Teradata, SQL and feed data to Exadata and then to MicroStrategy UI (and vice versa)• Co-ordinated with over 8 project and consumer teams to identify the business requirements before designing the backend and UI and laid out details project plan for version 0.5 and version 1 launch of the tool• The automation resulted in elimination of 900-man hours of work every month along with providing a neat solution to the buyers• Helped the client socialize the tool across its business functions enabling 100% adoption and consumption of the tool on the first launch

DECISION SCIENTIST | BANGALORE | Aug’17 – Jan’19 | Retail• Designed Data investigation framework that included – identifying right source of data, identifying gaps and fixing the data, designing historical and live data ingest feeds, capturing metadata to enable the most comprehensive sales and profit forecast for Europe’s largest retailerThis framework scaled from 1 resource to a $ 3M Engagement for Mu Sigma and established an exclusive team in client’s organization to do this• Built an enterprise table that acted as single source of truth for the sales values that captured apportionment of discount for every sold product. This exercise took data feeds from 4 different systems and combined 8 data sources to give a consistent historical and live dataset• The above activity helped in improving the forecast accuracy which translated in savings of £ 190M (£ 25 M for store and £ 165 for products) by better budget allocations and is now being scaled to further 2000 stores across 2 other countries
