Masters is a global distributor that gets pharmaceutical products to the places others can not reach. The business has recently benefitted from investment by Albion Ventures and is poised for significant growth in Latin America and Asia. As Interim CFO, I enhanced the structure and direction of the Finance function, which includes 4 international subsidiaries. This included introducing structured financial and management reporting, enhancing cash management, supporting the establishment of a new subsidiary in India, and working on a number of acquisition projects.

Interim FD of the Group and of its maiden acquisition - ERA Technology.I worked with the founders of edif group and Phoenix Equity Partners on the pre-acquisition planning and due diligence for ERA, as well as a number of other targets. Following the acquisition of ERA, I acted as interim FD, playing a key role in the separation of the business from its former parent company (Cobham plc) and setting up edif group's accounting, reporting and company secretarial functions at the same time.

I ran this early-stage technology business for 9 months and facilitated a change of ownership

- Responsible for the financial management and control of 3 principal trading companies as well as a further 5 smaller companies. Lead team of 14 finance staff, as well as a further 3 IT staff.- Lead, or supported, numerous negotiations with potential acquirers, banks, and other stakeholders. This included the establishment of a joint venture business, at which I was appointed as the Senior Director representing Nucare, as well as projects to dispose of various non-core businesses- Worked with Chairman, CEO and an independent financial adviser to systematically explore mechanisms for realising shareholder value. This process culminated in the £49m recommended Takeover by Phoenix Medical Supplies in October 2007.- Supported new owners with integration of various Nucare businesses in to their Group.

Successfully merged employees from three organisations in to one location and with a common set of employment terms. On-going responsibility for development and implementation of employment policies, recruitment and terminations.- Facilitated buy-out of all minority shareholders and successful sale to Cegedim SA
