As part of the intelligence group I am Managing Site Services Teams maintaining the Intelligence Platform in a mission critical environment. I am responsible with all things related to customer support, maintenance, product evolution, service management and development.Supported Service: Smart Safe City ProjectUrbanShield – a highly distributed, component based software, providing integration platform for other systems (cameras, detectors, video analytic systems), where each component can work either on the same server or remote, with dynamic adjustments initiated by the system itself. Built on Service Oriented Architecture principals, it supports unlimited number of detections (currently more than 100 million a day), due to seamless and dynamic horizontal scaling capabilities.Open Architecture (Vidsys - CSIM) - Planned, migrated third party CCTV feeds from external private sector sites successfully into the Vidsys OA platform. Project Managed the CCTV integration to in excess of 35,000 cameras with over 100 individual sites. Working in Abu Dhabi for our client. Operating onsite; I am responsible for managing a growing team of Application Support, System and Database engineers. My goal is to ensure the team's capabilities are used to their full potential in order to provide the best service to the customer base. Each member of the team is trained to SME standard providing key knowledge and resolution in their given area. I work with customers’ expectations on daily basis to be sure that all requirements are understood and will be implemented in the best possible way and in a timely manner.

I designed and successfully delivered the JC2SP TLAN to HMS Collingwood and developed the TLAN for deployment to RAF Cosford with Virtual Windows XP JC2SP Workstations. I also worked on virtualising the JC2SP openJOP 2.5 application into the TLAN Scenario together with the ICS 2.8.2.This training platform provided a stable and full-proof method into the workings of the JC2SP DII Node and plethora of applications. The rig I designed and built also provides a useful tool to administering the DII Node and can be used for user familiarisation, patch / upgrade testing and application growth/version changes.

I have been working over the last year on my concept of a training LAN for HMS Collingwood and RAF Cosford. The LAN consists of an ESXi 4.1 server holding two domains that have interoperability to successfully train operatives how military applications are administered and configured. The concept goes on to include all of the JC2SP application versions up to the end of 2012 and was due to encompass the new openJOP 2.5 and upgrade top 2.5.1 with two versions made available to the Schools for Geo-replication training. This will in the future also encompass two installations of ICC 2.8.2 and an exchange server for the requirements of the courseware. The rig I designed has 10 JC2SP virtual workstations for each domain and I designed it to have no significant impact on the training schools classroom environment. This has formed an essential tool to enhance the schools training and has been met with overwhelming success. I stand by BluDot ITC's slogan... My role included integration and management of the Royal Marines domain into the Nelson domain in Portsmouth for remote desktop support. I also supported several NT domains pending DII/F Tri-service rollout.IT installation and configuration, Strict asset management, day to day network and desktop break fix resolution, backup routines, image creation, Becrypt installation and management, disposals and re-distribution, software license auditing catalogue and compliance (including consultancy)At the naval base, I have been contributing to various projects and received two ‘outstanding achievement’ awards for contribution. These rewards were the results of my excellent communication and team skills awarded by the client.

This project aimed to upgrade the existing infrastructure for the DSTL restricted network system at Fort Halstead. It involved auditing the current systems in preparation for the upgrade, building machines destined for deployment (using ‘Becrypt’ encryption) and deployment to the end user desktops. I also configured desktop machines using the clients’ chosen method for non-compatible XP software (VM WARE). In addition I provided ‘one to one’ support to end users.I adapted and created work procedures for key roles within the roll-out at DSTL.

I was part of a team that upgraded the existing infrastructure of this critical government system. This project involved working closely with the client to ensure both the server and desktop infrastructure migration were completed seamlessly. The key tasks included deployment, configuration, application installation, and one to one desktop support.This client had a number of satellite sites therefore being able to work at different sites and with different people was an essential attribute. This often involved extended working hours to ensure the success of this project.

I took part in the updating of the Hampshire County Council current curriculum exam reporting system for 400+ schoolsImplementation and installation of new desktops / servers with SQL. This project involved configuring the current IT system to work on Windows XP and maintain stability of the software on the new PC. The role included data migration from Sims to SQL. It also included travelling to and supporting all primary and secondary schools in the county from desktop support to data migration and provision of new PCs.

Windows 2ooo Roll-outI was tasked to refresh the current operating system to Windows 2K and to perform printer installation and configuration. Including provision of break fix for software and hardware and ‘one to one’ level of support to the end users. To successfully deliver on this project, I used a wide range of applications which included Power Quest, Active Directory and Norton’s Ghost.

I was tasked to perform a complete IT installation and IT refresh of the old IT system and also provided consultation for implementation of full IT support infrastructure from 1st line to applications and project life-cycle. This role included data migration and system renew for 600+ MoD users to the FSL domain. This also included a PC refresh and new desktop environment from Windows NT to Windows 2K. The key role was to provide support to the company in its ventures by use of Information Technology. I also helped introduce a call logging system and help desk which was managed using “Heat”. The documentation which included new procedures and supplier management played a crucial part in ensuring smooth transition into the MoD environment. I ran a project in parallel that saw the successful introduction and installation of LANDesk to the naval base.

Oil Refinery - Client Workstations My team supported 2500+ users on site plus approximately 1000 remote users. My tasks involved PC desktop refresh to HSME build (Win 2K) from Win NT. I also performed hardware / software break fix in a numerous business sectors and used the Remedy call logging system.

Client Workstations / Servers and Domain connectivity responsible for the management of network / desktop and break fix of all infrastructures over 13 satellite sites. I developed and implemented key databases that are still currently being used. In addition, I was tasked to utilize the IT systems in order to increase productivity within the laboratory environment and ultimately create time for staff to carry out other tasks.
