Procurement Coordinator - ImportsCompanhia Siderúrgica Do Pecém - Csp Aug 2016 - Feb 2019Fortaleza Area, Brazil CSP (www.cspecem.com) is an integrated steel plant, incorporated in 2007 with the single purpose of promoting the expansion of the steel industry in Brazil and progress for Ceará State and Brazil. Its shareholders are Brazilian company Vale and South Korean Dongkuk Steel and Posco. With nominal capacity of 3 MTPY (million tons per year) of steel slabs and power generation of 200 MW, CSP started operation in june/2016 and completed ramp up curve within less than 4 months, a benchmark in the industry. CSP is established in the first operational Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Brazil, a free trade area intended for companies producing goods to export, enabling tax, foreign exchange and administrative benefits. By products include beach iron, BTX, regular and BSSF slag. Procurement at CSP is organized in four management areas: General Purchasing, Raw Material Purchasing, Contracts and Supplier Management, a team with total of 60 employees, handling annual budget of US$600 million. Coordination of the team responsible for acquisitions and customs clearance of all imported equipment, spare parts and general material for the integrated steel plant (except raw material). Activities include all steps of procurement process, since the receipt of requests from end users, preparation of bids, negotiation, purchase order/contracts issuance, approval, cargo consolidation, freight forwarder procurement, shipment coordination and follow-up, customs clearance coordination and follow-up.
