I work for a Dhaka-based policy think tank ‘Center for Participatory Research and Development –CPRD (www.cprdbd.org)’ as its chief executive. Being a marine scientist by training, over the last two decades, I turned to a development enthusiast with my progressive involvement in research, advocacy and activism. I am conversant with the UNFCCC process and actively involved in influencing global and national policy discourse to make them just and rights-based. I wrote a number of policy papers, articles, research briefs etc. on trade and globalization, food security and livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, climate justice, displacement and migration, loss and damage etc.; many of which got wider acceptance from national and international stakeholders, also published as journal articles and book chapters.
