The job involves a lot of work on Open Source Projects as well as porting our own and foreign software to various Platforms (HPPA-HP-UX, IA64-HP-UX, PPC-AIX, Sparc-Solaris, x86-Solaris, x86-Linux, x86_64-Linux, x86-Interix (Windows), x86-Windows, x86_64-Windows, etc.).Appart from maintaining the large codebase written in C/C++, Perl, Python, Shell Script and Makefile ( :) ), i've been working on new Projects in different Languages (mainly Java) in this Job.Lately (the last 3 years) I've been working as a Java Developer on a big Eclipse RCP application, developing the low level UI and OR mapper frameworks (including JDBC, ...). I've been also porting the application to RAP (Remote Application Platform) and had my hands on various other parts like JMS, and Java internals like class loading coupled with RMI and OSGi, etc.During this employment, I have also managed to get certified as "Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE6 Programmer" (formerly SCJP) and as CPSA ("Certified Professional Software Architect" according to iSAQB).
