Contributing to the development and sharing of new risk datasets using Risk Data Library System (RDLS) within ongoing and new climate and disaster risk studies.2. Identify existing climate and disaster risk data and make it available through open data through the RDL.3. Contributing to new climate and disaster risk analytics and visualization.4. Organizing training and outreach events on climate and risk data and RDLS.

Responsibilities :1. Develop GIS products to inform the current REACH projects as well as the planning and decision-making of other humanitarian partners and Technical Working Groups.2. Coordinate with REACH Assessment Unit to ensure mapping products are relevant to support reports, briefings, and other information products produced by REACH3. In response to the request from humanitarian actors and sector partners, develop timely mapping products to inform their activities and support decision-making.4. Work alongside Assessment Officers to clean and quality check incoming assessment data in R and Excel.5.Varied data analysis and processing related to natural hazards - e.g. checking for correlation and links between weather data and hazard incidents; plotting plots and charts for data visualisation. Contribute to the spatial analysis and GIS product drafting for the Natural Hazard Technical Working Group. 6. Liaise closely with a wide variety of actors (NGOs, UN and field staff) to collect and compile secondary data as required by any ongoing projects.7. Plan primary data collection through appropriate methods (e.g., remote sensing, collection GIS data as part of field assessments, etc.)8. Coordinate the data collection and lead on the data processing, address generation and output creation of REACH's Shelter Addressing project.9. Create final outputs (maps or other information products) through data processing and analysis.10. Represent REACH in sector meetings, technical working groups and ad-hoc external engagements.11. Provide presentations to humanitarian actors on the latest GIS products to inform their programming and decision-making.12. Identify training needs and conduct structured training on basic GIS processes (QGIS software, Google Earth Engine etc.) to strengthen REACH's GIS capacities.13. Maintenance of an ArcGIS Online platform/ RShiny Dashboard for data visualisation and dissemination.

Project : Humanitarian-conservation Actions for Biodiversity Protection around Rohingya Refugee Camps of Cox's Bazar DistrictSpecific Duties:1. Training volunteers in GPS and SW Map based data collections, and cleaning the data for further analysis in excel, RStudio and qgis.2. Geo spatial analysis and map design for human elephant conflict zones through OSM built-up and ground survey data, tracking elephant movements through dung and footprints analysis.3. Collecting and processing of satellite imagery for land cover classification, vegetation index, watershed and catchment delineation, flood risk mapping and landslide risk modelling for various project interventions and monitoring of project intervention sites through Saga GIS, Orfeo toolbox, GDAL, R scripts, and GRASS tools in Quantum GIS (QGIS), JavaScript API integration in Google Earth Engine for remote sensing of the environment4. Contribution in geo spatial database management, data analysis and visualizations through R Statistical programming using tidyverse packages and libraries5. Prepare contract paper, logistics and payment procedure for consultants, review the draft research reports6. Contribution in drafting periodical progress reports, factsheets. 7. Arrange knowledge dissemination workshops including DC, RRRC and UNO office, BFD, DAE, DPHE, UNDP, UNHCR, FAO, IOM, WFP, and ISCG.8. Capacity building of the refugee community to mitigate human elephant conflicts, lead in implementing environmental awareness raising among school children and youth’s groups through establishment of Youth Environment Club9. Provide logistics to ERT members of refugee and host communities and trains them to proper of elephant deterrent tools during HEC10. Prepare concept notes for future funding opportunities

WFP-DRR-CNRS Reforestation ProjectTerms of References:1. Identify vulnerable landslide, erosion prone hills and degraded streams through geo-spatial analysis and ground data2. Designing the effective biological land stabilization methods for reforestation, soil erosion control, riparian plantation models in consultation with BFD, WFP and FAO3. Programme interventions budget preparation and procurement of the required materials4. Coordination and collaboration with RRRC , DC , UNO, BFD, donors for work and budget approvals of the intervention as well as for better selection of the intended project site and updating them with the need assessment proposals.5. Selection of the project beneficiaries and participants database management as per the donor and organizational policies6. Implementation, monitoring, and controlling the reforestation activities to achieve project goals and project deliverables7. Assessment of WFP plantation area using tools like Garmin GPSMAP 64s, Santo, Clinometers, and diameter taps, data analysis and visualization through SPSS and MS excel, making maps with GIS & RS tools and finally comes up with assessment report and recommendations for further improvements.8. Prepare progress report and other documents as per the project proposal agreement 9. Arrange workshops, seminars in order to disseminate success stories with the relevant stakeholders10. Closing the project as per the appropriate deadline
