I have been able to spearhead a new area within the company. A lot of what I have taken over were previously handled by a group of 25 examiners. I do all Section 15(8) reimbursement requests for the company. I also am able to track Section 14(6) and Excess Reinsurance requests. I assist the claims team with making sure that all claims are financially accurate and help the accounting team with getting trusts ready for yearly audits. I also enter and verify all reimbursements that come into the office so my involvement does not end with the requests. I keep in contact with Special Funds to help make sure we are able to maximize the returns. I also work with the claims team and some of the providers to see that we are able to address any discrepancies on payments.My position continues to evolve as business needs change and as we get new business.

I worked with the Ohio Department of Health in reporting of specific and aggregate data in relation to sexually transmitted diseases for grant funding as well as reporting positive cases of Hepatitis to the proper county or state (depending on the patients residence).
