• Supports the College of Architecture Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Director for Architectural Programming with the management of calendars, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and coordination of basic projects.• Assists in the preparation, editing, and finalizing of correspondence, presentations, reports, and other materials.• Takes minutes at faculty and other meetings.• Performs basic office duties to support the Architecture Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Director for Architectural Programming.• Answers basic academic affairs questions and works with the Dean’s reception to triage student concerns.• May perform some financial duties such as processing requisitions and purchase orders.

Assisting teachers in the classroom with lessons and art projects. Organizing, designing and installing the annual KidsArts art exhibition featuring camper’s creations. Organizing class supplies and performing various clerical duties.

Promoting and supporting campus and community offices, programs, and services focused on underrepresented students. Demonstrating a commitment to student education in topic areas of social justice education through educational programming events. Maintaining confidentiality of students and situations within the context of the position as appropriate. Creating opportunities for students to explore and clarify personal values, beliefs and bias related to social justice issues. Encouraging interpersonal and group interactions among students to foster residents’ consideration of social issues and the rights, freedoms, beliefs and lifestyles of others. Supporting students’ identity development by providing education regarding issues of multiculturalism, individual worldview, and how one’s worldview impacts individual behavior. Promoting a welcoming environment to encourage residents’ personal, social, and academic development Responding in a positive and helpful manner.

Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities each week. Identify and respond to camper behavior issues. Communicate with parents about participant’s experiences and report concerns to Camp Leadership. Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance. Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for your campers’ safety and their whereabouts at all times.

Review with the principal or designee all lesson plans and schedules to be followed during the instructional day. Teach the lesson as prepared by the absent teacher. Maintain as fully as possible the established routines/schedules and procedures of the school and classroom to which the substitute is assigned. Assume responsibility to oversee student behavior in the classroom and on campus as appropriate. Maintain classroom(s) organization and appearance. Leave a summary of work completed at the end of each instructional day for the teacher of record.
