Operations Lead
Seattle, Washington, United States
As an operations lead I was primarily a supervisor, an I.T. professional, and a transfer coordinator. On the administrative end, I always either trained employees hands-on or provided final approval if they were trained by another staff member. I distributed our schedule and responsibilities lists, as well as updating our constantly evolving department procedures. I participated in employee reviews, interviews, disciplinary discussions, and vendor meetings, along with my manager. I was also the firm's on-site I.T. contact. I helped with physical printer, computer, and phone troubleshooting. I tracked the firm's I.T. costs, ordered and set-up new firm cell phones, and installed new media on computers. I helped set-up and configure new computers for all 100+ employees at my firm when they did a complete computer refresh in 2018. Along with my responsibilities above, I processed all incoming and outgoing file transfers. For outgoing transfers, this included contacting new counsel, cleaning files, sorting through electronic transfer documents, and coordinating file transport. Incoming transfers consisted of receiving and sorting incoming files, saving electronic documents to their proper location, notifying those responsible at the firm of their arrival, and labeling and delivering the files to their proper recipients. In my time as a Lead I processed transfers as small as 1 file and as big as 2000 files.
