Founded art gurl in 2022: a creative collective at the intersection of art, wellness, imagination and self-discovery. We create custom workshops and other content designed to promote rest and reflection through creative projects and teach participants tools for using innate creativity as a tool for wellness.Other duties:-Oversee all aspects of art gurl including business development, content creation, marketing and growth strategy, and contractor hiring-Manage partnerships with corporate clients and create custom content for corporate creative health-Maintain company budgets

Develop and teach curriculum in design thinking, creative problem solving, and career development in partnership with DreamYard's Legacy and Internship Programs team. Workshops are designed to build skills in public speaking, collaboration, communication, and workplace boundaries based on SEL strategies.

-Oversaw all weekend operations of Open Studio, a drop-in art workshop for families with kids of all ages.-Maintained knowledge about current exhibitions and all Family Programs and shared this information with visitors.-Communicated with other Museum departments including Facilities, Audio Visual, Visitor Services, Security, and Information Technology.-Supervised staff including graduate student Facilitators, Youth Insights Teen Leaders, and Volunteer Ambassadors.-Assisted with the teaching of Open Studio projects and oversaw material set up and clean-up of the space.-Attended monthly trainings on Friday afternoons with the Coordinator of Family Programs in order to learn about studio projects, materials, and lesson plans.-Assisted with managing Open Studio room capacities, welcomed people into the space, and helped families to find seats.-Reported feedback, program statistics and communicated issues clearly with the Coordinator of Family Programs, via email and/or in person after each program.

A different art-making project designed for kids & their grown-ups is developed monthly with a particular theme and art object from the DAM’s collection in mind. -Assisted in the development of rotating Create-n-Take projects in various galleries throughout the museum. -Assisted in the development of installed gallery games and art-making stations.

-Created welcoming experiences for visitors at the museum by staffing facilitated art making projects, an interactive art studio, and other drop in programs.-Worked across the Department of Learning & Engagement including with Family & Community Programs, Studio and Artist Programs, and Adult Programs.-Facilitated and successfully guided visitors through specific discussion based on art objects in the collection, art making projects, and other program elements.-Provided excellent customer service while checking visitors in to programs.-Provided visitors with information that connects the collection with the assigned program. -Stayed up-to-date on comprehensive museum happenings and events to share with visitors and help them plan their visit.-Worked to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.-Recorded accurate statistics and communicated with supervisors to report on the programs’ successes & challenges.-Effective communication and cooperation with museum volunteers, frontline staff and other DAM staff.

-Assisted with the vast array of live and installed programming at the Denver Art Museum by helping to create, implement, and maintain these programs in the galleries and behind the scenes.- Worked as a team with other interns to maintaining all installed creative corners in the galleries-Worked closely with Jodie Gorochow, Coordinator of Family & Community Programs to develop, test, and evaluate two new gallery games based on the DAM’s permanent collection and one special exhibition.-Worked closely with Lindsay Genshaft, Coordinator of Family & Community Programs to prototype and deliver a new Create-n-Take, the DAM's popular in-gallery art making program, based on a contemporary art piece.-Assisted Patty Williams during her summer classes based on China & Japan by supporting lesson plans, preparing supplies and discussions for summer classes, leading discussions and activities with students in galleries and guiding them into art making projects based on their gallery experiences. Also assisted with check-in/check-out of students

-Worked closely with Patty Williams to conduct art historical research on three objects from Oceania, including Papua New Guinea and Samoa. This information was later used to train docents giving tours in the DAM’s newly installed Oceanic gallery.-Collected and synthesized research information from a wide variety of sources (print, phone interviews, online, etc.)-Assisted in collecting visitor experience research – conduct visitor research including surveys and observations to determine effectiveness of interpretive materials.

-Assisted with development and evaluation of new activities for campers aged 3-12 to encourage play, learning, and exploration of an urban farm. -Taught activities such as lotion making with goat milk, water color painting, face painting, and goat-inspired outdoor games. -On-site mentoring of teen "counselors-in-training", who are paid to assist staff by keeping children engaged and safe. These teens are given opportunities to grow their leadership skills and work experience through responsibilities at Mountain Flower Dairy.

-Developed three lesson plans based on culture and religions of India based on the Program for Teaching East Asia's goal of making Asian cultures accessible to children in elementary school. -Taught all three lessons to four different 2nd grade classrooms in the Boulder area-Coordinated with teachers in four local schools to teach lessons that supplemented curriculum and scheduled my lessons strategically

-Researched and reported research on new cancer technologies -Worked efficiently in Excel and PowerPoint-Attended company meetings and recorded minutes

-Taught weekly yoga classes to a group of 20-40 girls aged 5-16 who lived on the third floor orphanage after school hours-Acted as a big sister and mentor to these girls who previously lived on the streets or were abandoned by their families.-Helped with homework, facilitated art projects, practiced English, and led games daily.http://littlestarsschool.org/
