Born and raised in New York City, serving and giving back to my community feeds my soul. With an almost 10 year background in Accounting and HR, I am now watching what my sacrifice to self looks like. Since obtaining my college degree, I've had the pleasure of stepping away from Corporate Accounting and teaching Elementary and Adult ESL for almost 3 years. I have since moved on to the Non-Profit Management and Operations sector, but still manage to teach part time. Civil service includes Serving on the BBB Board, PTA Vice President of Student Services, current SC foster parent, Americorps Alumni and member of the iCivics Educator Network. Hard work doesn't pay for itself, but it does speak for itself. I actively and intentionally advocate for those overlooked and/or those who may feel bound by yesterday's choices.
