Managed communications for Canterbury’s district health alliance responsible for leading high-profile reforms of the Canterbury Health System.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Provided strategic communications advice and management for more than 20 simultaneous program areas involved in high-profile health system reform.* Maintained close working relationships with health system Executive leaders and communications teams to ensure alignment of communications activities.SOME HIGHLIGHTS:* Successfully engaged health system leaders to develop and roll out the first system-wide communications strategy that brought together the District Health Board (secondary care) and all Primary Health Organisations. * Wrote numerous successful award and funding nominations, including the 2015 IPANZ Prime Minister’s Award for Public Sector Excellence.* Developed and implemented a digital strategy that saved the health system almost $20 million in resources.* Appointed communications lead for high-profile change initiatives, including launching Canterbury Children’s Team, relocating Christchurch 24 Hour Surgery, launching Digital Shared Care Plans and childhood obesity initiative.* Developed library of real patient stories demonstrating the value of initiatives.* Documented the alliance story, explaining complex concepts associated with the alliance approach in simple and understandable terms.

As a contributor, I interviewed inspirational up-and-comers and told their story with the help of beautiful images and illustrations.
