I work in refugee resettlement to provide for people resettling in America. I am so grateful to be working in a position where my passions and values are positively contributing to the community that I live in. My time in the classroom was an integral part of my development as a person and advocate. I have been able to use my passions and education to work with students who may not have the same opportunities as other students. I am able to use my experience and education to work with a nonprofit whose mission is to bring opportunity and equity where it is needed.During my time at Auburn I was involved in multiple organizations on and off campus. My volunteer work with Campus Kitchen at Auburn University, my internship with Esperanza House, my position in Teach for America, and my current role as an EL teacher has given me so much experience in the nonprofit and education world. I hope to use this experience in working with many different non-profit organizations, specifically organizations geared toward poverty alleviation and social equity.
