My current role is senior manager. operations and special projects at the American Academy of Neurology. In this role, I develop and oversee project plans and curate content to promote education, science, and conference products and initiatives. I enjoy being embedded in our business to understand the nuances of projects and how they interconnect. I serve as a unifier of teams to better support project goals and align stakeholders and operate at a strategic, tactical, and operation level, handling oversight of special projects that do not neatly fit within the org chart or that fall between teams. I'm passionate about helping my team talk about the amazing work of the members of the AAN and supporting career advancement for our members.A believer in the power of storytelling, media making, and providing a voice to underserved communities, I'm proud to serve as board president of Saint Paul Neighborhood Network.Previously I was senior manager, client experience in Weber Shandwick’s corporate practice. In my more than seven years with the agency, I specialized in building and sustaining positive visibility and reputations for a variety of brands. My areas of expertise include strategic media relations, stakeholder outreach and engagement, and public affairs and grassroots activation for natural resource and infrastructure clients.I am a graduate of the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Saint Paul class of 2016.Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, I was an assistant director for Grassroots Campaigns, Inc., where I managed an office of community-based, grassroots fundraisers working for three non-profit organizations. Originally from Kansas, I graduated from Carleton College in Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in political science/international relations and a concentration in Latin American studies.
