I have been a primary school teacher for 14 years and have a passion for developing the literacy skills in children in the early years. I believe that early intervention in literacy is the foundation for children to become confident life-long learners. I am a freelance writer with a love of language and storytelling. I have experience in researching and writing feature articles as well as proofreading and editing material before sending it to print.I love gardening, sewing and finding small ways to make a difference. I am teaching my children to look after the small things in their world as one day they may become the big things that matter.
