Measurement of the stress hormone Cortisol in hair samples using ELISA

Since leaving the BCRT in Berlin, Germany, I travelled extensively before returning to Canada to resume employment to countries including Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Egypt, Romania, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea and the Philippines. Researching destinations and visa requirements, organizing logistics and communicating outside of my native language while staying within a budget were my self-funded part-time work. I believe my curiosity, observational skills and the constant problem solving needed to manage this type of travel overlap well with the tasks needed to be a successful scientist and team member.
