The academic program at FACE focuses on developing the appropriate paths of learning to meet the specific individual needs of each of its students in all areas of functioning. FACE uses the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – an effective, research-based strategy that has been proven to be effective for teaching students with autism.• Modify instruction for twelve first-fourth-grade students to their instructional level (pre-kindergarten-fourth grade) on a daily basis within the classroom setting. • Develop and implement individualized academic programs, demonstrate knowledge of effective instructional techniques. • Monitor student’s IEP goals and progress in the classroom setting while collaborating with Parents, Principal, Behavioral Analysts, Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists. • Create weekly lesson plans and implement positive reward systems for continuous reinforcement of students positive behaviors • Anticipate potential behavior problems in students maintaining line-of-sight supervision of assigned students and assessing behavior patterns.• Supervising two teaching assistants with daily tasks before, during and after-school.
