After completing NCARB's APX program and passing all required ARE exams, I have received my official license to practice architecture in the state of Connecticut.

CK Architects is a small New England architectural design firm, specializing in well crafted residential, commercial and small institutional projects with an emphasis on sustainable design and energy efficiency. At CK Architects, I am involved in mostly all aspects of the design process, working closely with the firm’s principals and acting as project manager on work assigned to me. My responsibilities for each project typically include: existing conditions documentation, research of relevant zoning and building code requirements, obtaining necessary approvals from local town zoning boards or other agencies, schematic design, cost estimation and feasibility, design development, material research, construction drawings and specifications, coordination of bidding and negotiation between the client and contractors, and construction administration. Recently, I have also begun to take on an interior design consulting role, helping to advise clients on finish selections, including paint colors, countertop materials, flooring, tile and furniture layout & design.Having advanced experience in digital modeling and graphic design, I am able to provide clients with images to better understand our design proposals. I utilize Revit, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to achieve this level of clarity for our clients. These images are also often translated to marketing material for community rich projects and as supporting documentation to help receive approvals from Town agencies, commissions and boards. I am also a key player in the firm’s marketing efforts and my responsibilities include the design and development of marketing materials such as cards, ads and signs, the submission of documentation for awards and published articles, the maintenance of our pages on Facebook and Houzz.com and the coordination of content for our website.
