Currently working as an Exploration Geologist in the AFO on reporting, planning and 3D modelling in Micromine. The goal of the team is to locate mafic/ultramafic intrusions that may host Ni-Cu sulphide mineralisation within the Yilgarn Craton through various exploration techniques. In August 2020 until January 2021 worked on Sed-Cu exploration within the Paterson Range of Western Australia (target acquisition, managing contractors & staff, internal/external reports, QAQC, 3D-modelling, interpretation & drill-hole planning).

I worked as a Geological Intern for the Exploration Department of Newmont Corporation, working in the Tanami and Kalgoorlie as a field assistant. Duties included assisting collecting XRF and magnetic susceptibility data, as well as assisting the head geologist on the AC/RC drill rig. In the office I helped with integrating old drilling data sets into a new database for modelling within the Kalgoorlie tenement.

APSC151 - Engineering Geology and the Biosphere This course provides an introduction to the complex Earth System (which encompasses the solid earth, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere), and our interactions with it to first year engineering students. Understanding of how our planet is explored is done by using the Earth System as a framework. The themes of engineering geology, sustainability, and geo-materials are introduced in this course.

Through this opportunity I developed communication, writing, and time management skills. I also gained experience working in a small team and learned how to take on various roles. Responsible for identifying equipment required for various projects. Based on these requirements I contacted consulting engineering firms bidding on the projects. Through e-mail and verbal communication quoted and worked with these firms to answer any questions they had.
