Additionally, Ms. Williams took over my role as a Teacher’s Assistant for Computers and Information Technology during her sophomore year because of her growth in the class in such a short time. I worked with Ms. Williams in the School of Business for the past year while she served as a Professional Development Leader. This position was not an easy one as it was a brand new position that was overseen by two managers in less than four months. However, Ms. Williams carried the team with extreme leadership that I have yet to see elsewhere. Ms. Williams is often the first person in the office in the morning, though her shift does not begin until later in the day. Further, Ms. Williams can often be found working at the Professional Development Workshops, even though her shift ended earlier in the day. On top of this rigorous daily job and her fifteen credits, Ms. Williams also is employed as a skilled waitress at Chili’s and should be commended for her diligent work effort and customer satisfaction. Ms. Williams is a brilliant and hardworking student and employee, but she is also a leader. In addition to her leadership of the Professional Development Leaders, she has also led the Business-Link program with me for the past year. This position is not a typical position as it reports directly to the Dean of the School of Business and the Business Advisory Council. Ms. Williams, though new to the role, took quick measures to ensure that the program continued its mission. Thanks to Ms. Williams, the Business-Link program has done more this year than in the three years since it’s inception. Ms. Williams demonstrates her leadership as a fantastic Peer Advisor, and has joined the executive board because of her dedication, along with her involvement in the Dean’s Hosts organization. Last but not least, Ms. Williams has exemplified herself as a fantastic friend. Ms. Williams has been loyal and present for her friends and peers, no matter the situation. I personally value my friendship with Ms. Williams very highly and I am truly glad that she has been there to help me when I needed it the most.
