This includes:• Increasing the visibility of CIRA by identifying and monitoring the media landscape for opportunities to initiate, join or stimulate conversations about issues related to the development of the Internet in Canada and around the world. In this regard, I have built a solid network of media contacts in Canada and around the world. • Establishing CIRA as a global thought leader by researching and writing white papers and other knowledge pieces on Internet policy, governance and the management of critical Internet resources. I am also responsible for writing op eds, blog posts and speeches for the president and CEO of CIRA. • Building and maintaining effective partnerships by liaising with relevant governments and government departments, both in Canada and internationally, on a variety of domestic and international Internet policy issues. This strategy established NAHO as a leader in the use of social media among Aboriginal organizations. As Director, I was solely responsible for the development of unit-specific strategic plans and annual workplans. I was responsible for a diverse range of managerial functions involving a staff of 15 people and a budget in excess of one million dollars.
